Arion is a coffee table family defined by a clear architectural gesture: a slim, precise top rests on four quiet legs, while a suspended saddle-inspired sling turns the under-top volume into purposeful storage. the sling is drawn as a continuous band with disciplined stitching and a clean edge line, transforming craft signals into structural clarity rather than ornament.

The design intent was to translate the principles of saddlery—tension, control, and comfort—into living-room scale. the top is kept visually light and comfortably soft at the perimeter, so a forearm can rest without pressure and trays slide with ease. the legs are set back from the corners to reduce visual weight and free the edges, while the sling spans between supports with a gentle, controlled camber that reads stable and composed.

Proportion is the project’s core. the vertical distance between top and sling is tuned to the reach of a seated user, making the act of placing a book or tucking away a remote fluid and natural. the sling sits slightly recessed from the outline, drawing a shadow that separates volumes and prevents visual clutter. in plan, generous corner radii and a measured overhang encourage movement around the piece and reduce accidental contact.
